What PuppyPup is

PuppyPup stores and organises information that you type in about your dog: what it eats, when it was fed, which treatments and vaccinations were given, what a veterinarian told you, and photographs of paper records.

It is a notebook that keeps things in order and lets a family look at the same page. That is all it claims to be.

What PuppyPup is not

• It is not a veterinary clinic and not a veterinarian.
• It does not diagnose anything.
• It does not prescribe or recommend treatment, medicines or doses.
• It does not verify that what you entered is medically correct.
• It does not replace a consultation with a qualified professional.
• It is not an emergency service.
• It has not been medically reviewed or certified.

Accuracy of the records

Everything in your PuppyPup records was entered by you or by someone in your family. If a date, a dose or a name was typed incorrectly, PuppyPup will show it incorrectly. It has no way to know.

Confirm dates, doses, intervals and any decision that matters with your veterinarian, and keep the original documents. Do not let PuppyPup be the only place a critical piece of information exists.

Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee

PuppyPup can remind you about a planned feeding or treatment. Whether the reminder arrives depends on your device, your notification settings, Focus modes, battery state and network conditions.

• A reminder may arrive late, or not at all.
• A reminder is based on the schedule you entered, which may itself be wrong.
• A missing reminder does not mean nothing was due.

For anything time-critical — a vaccination deadline, a course of medication — keep a second way of remembering it.

If you are worried about your dog

If your dog’s behaviour, appetite, weight or condition changes and you are not sure why, talk to a veterinarian. Bringing your PuppyPup records to that conversation is useful — but the conversation is the part that matters.

Your responsibility

Decisions about your dog’s care are yours, made together with a veterinarian. By using PuppyPup you accept that it is a record-keeping tool and that you will not treat what it shows as professional advice. This is also part of the Terms of Use.
